  • Data Encryption: VistaDB uses FIPS-compliant AES-256 encryption to secure the entire database, including both schema and data. This ensures a high level of protection for stored information.

  • Encryption Key Management: Encryption keys are managed securely, ensuring that only authorized users can access and decrypt the data.

2. Access Control

  • Authentication and Authorization: VistaDB supports robust authentication mechanisms to ensure that only authorized users can access the database. Access control can be configured to provide different levels of permissions based on user roles.

3. Backup and Restore

  • Automatic Backups: The software provides an automatic database backup system; however, it is up to the IT department to take advantage of other backup and restore options available within the end user’s network.

4. Monitoring and Management

  • BlogTools Module: This module allows you to monitor, compact, recover, and perform specific backups of the VistaDB databases used in the BusinessLog system.
