Viewer

The “Stand-Alone Viewer” allows you to view log grid data without using the server and without being able to change BusinessLog settings. Additionally, user permissions mirror those configured on the server side.

The system uses Named Pipes for the connection; therefore, it is necessary to ensure that the following are enabled on both the server and client sides:

  • TCP port 445

  • The SMB protocol (2 or higher)

The server must allow Named Pipes in the local policies:

Set the name of the pipe to be authorized in the specified entry.

Server side:

Enable the “Enable Viewer” option in the configuration, then save and restart the services to activate

the Pipe server.

The Viewer can be downloaded from the following site:

https://www.businesslog.it/download/BusinessLogViewer.exe

The installation process is minimal, and at the end the login window will appear:

If the pipe has not yet been configured, click the icon with the “tools” at the bottom right.

Once you have specified the BusinessLog server name, verify that the following message appears:

“Connection to Named Pipe successfully established.”

At this point, it will be possible to log in with your username and password.

The views are the same as on the server side, only simplified.

The Viewer can be installed anywhere within the internal network, without any license limitations.
